I'm born and raised in "The Region." I did my first triathlon when I was 10 years old, The Mrs. T's Pierogi triathlon in Chicago. I LOVED the race. However I spent most of my time in the pool.

I entered high school in 2006 as a cross country runner, swimmer and track pole vaulter. I ended up quitting running for the next four years because of injury and swam exclusively. My sophomore year of high school was my break out swim season and finally believe I would be able to swim division 1. My senior year I decided to commit to Purdue University.

After I finished swimming my senior year at Purdue I decided I wanted to pursue a career in triathlon. This was the most exciting decision I had ever made.

The rest will be covered in the blog.
